Dr Diana L. Petersen

Dr Diana initially studied Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Johannesburg in 2003-2005, and completed her community service at the Pretoria Academic Hospital in 2006.

In 2007, she went on to further study Chiropractic at University of Johannesburg, where she completed her Masters' Degree in Chiropractic in 2012.  Dr Diana was a clinician at the University's Radiography Clinic for 2 years, teaching Chiropractic students to perform X-ray images of their patients.

She is currently registered with the:

  • Allied Health Professions Council of SA (AHPCSA)
  • Chiropractic Association of SA (CASA),
  • Paediatric Chiropractic Association of SA (PCASA).

Dr Diana received an amazing opportunity to work alongside several orthopaedic surgeons in Kempton Park, East of Johannesburg, and gained great experience! She was then invited to establish her own private practice alongside top general practitioners in the heart of Kempton Park, which has been going strong since March 2014.

To expand the DK Family Chiro brand, Dr Diana bought over a well-established, neurologically-based chiropractic practice in Alberton, South of Johannesburg in 2015 (previously owned by Dr Nicole Puchner Bernic). She then sold this practice to Dr Tarryn Kingon in 2018. 

In 2016, Dr Diana completed the "Advanced Course in Chiropractic Specific Spinal Examination & Adjusting Techniques, including the Dynamic Boshoff Distraction Procedure", presented by the well-known Dr Willem Boshoff. She also assisted Dr Boshoff in his Gonstead presentation at the UJ Seminar for Chiropractic Students, in 2016.

Dr Diana offers a wide range of techniques suited for one's needs; such as adjustments and mobilizations, lumbar traction, dry needling and other types of soft tissue therapies.


She also educates her patients about diet, supplementation, exercise, emotional stabilization and postural correction. She also has a special interest in helping new moms and dads take care of their irritable babies, including advise on feeding, co-ordination development and improvement, and muscle strengthening.
